Wanted: “Clothing Bus” sizes 6-14 June 2, 2008

Filed under: Swap — KelKat @ 8:13 pm

Some of us have previously tossed around the idea of a “clothing bus”. This is a bin of clothes that travels from home to home for ladies to add or take clothing in good condition. This would be modern styles, all clean (freshly washed even if it has been in storage), stuff that people could wear and enjoy at work or casual.  Small accessories or other little goodies would be okay if they fit in the bin or duffle bag. Maybe a Rubbermaid or a hockey bag?  There would be a list of “stops” with phone numbers and email addresses. When it is your turn, it would be your job to PICK UP the bin from the previous home. If you aren’t able, you can “pass” at any time and the next person goes ahead.  Choose for yourself or family members in your home. Items will not be otherwise distributed or donated until they’ve gone around a couple of times and are obviously of no interest to the group. Any takers?  Please reply with email and size.  Might need to break into groups  if the size range is really broad.

I am in South Guelph  (Kortright & Edinburgh), shirts size m, pants size 10-12

Does anyone have a bag or bin to get things started? What about other suggestions for guidelines?

I would love to start one for the 14+ ladies if there is any interest. I am a size 14-18 depending on the week :)
